Program Snapshot

When? Typically once per week, 1 hour per session, 8 weeks.

Where? On-site at your school or a local recreational center.

Who Teaches? Top performing & trained UCI undergraduate and grad students with strong subject knowledge.

What’s Included? Meta Quest 3S headset for each student, pre-loaded application, full support, no prep needed. Eyeglass-friendly headset spacers are available for students who wear glasses.

Instructional Workflow
A hybrid class blending hands-on VR exploration with instructor-led, in-person learning.
1. VR Phase 1 (≈15–20 min)
Students complete Imaging and Interactive Exploration activities in VR
2. Instructor-led Q&A (≈5 min)
Headsets off; guided discussion tied to NGSS learning objectives
3. VR Phase 2 (≈20–25 min)
Students return to VR for Hands-On Exploration, Assembly, and Quiz.
4. Instructor-led Wrap-Up (≈5–10 min)
Headsets off; final discussion to reinforce key NGSS concepts and address misconceptions
5. Finish (≈3–6 min)
High-energy Knowledge Knockout VR learning game to conclude the session.
